H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the introduction of Golden Visas for outstanding educators in Dubai’s private education sector.

In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has announced the introduction of Golden Visas for exceptional educators who have demonstrated excellence and made significant contributions to Dubai’s private education sector.

The announcement, made on World Teachers’ Day, highlights the critical role educators play in shaping Dubai’s future, aligning with the emirate’s broader aspirations in key sectors. It also supports the newly launched Education 33 strategy, which emphasizes the recognition of inspiring educators who enrich students’ learning experiences and bolster their competitiveness both regionally and globally.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed expressed his appreciation, saying: “On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, we extend our sincere gratitude to all teachers and educators. We deeply value their mission and the crucial role they play in shaping minds, nurturing future generations, and driving national progress. Today, we celebrate their dedication and achievements, which not only shape our present but also lay the foundation for a prosperous future. Teachers inspire today’s youth and tomorrow’s leaders, and their contributions reinforce Dubai’s commitment to human capital development.”

The decision to award Golden Visas to outstanding educators follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who recently established the Emirati Day for Education, to be observed annually on 28th February in recognition of all those contributing to the education sector.

This initiative underscores the deep respect and high regard for educators within UAE society, acknowledging their educational and humanitarian roles in fostering students’ passion for learning, stimulating curiosity, instilling positive values, and empowering them with the tools for personal growth. It also recognizes their essential contributions in advancing the objectives of Dubai’s Social Agenda 33.

The initiative aims to fulfill one of the key objectives of the Education 33 strategy, positioning Dubai as a leading destination for outstanding educators. It will also attract exceptional educational talent to Dubai, supporting the E33 strategy’s goal of promoting lifelong learning values.

The E33 strategy is pivotal in achieving Social Agenda 33’s objectives, including creating an education system capable of meeting Dubai’s future ambitions and strengthening its human capital. The strategy seeks to improve the quality of education at all levels, contributing to the goal of making Dubai one of the top 10 cities in the world for education.

Golden Visas will be granted to educators in private early childhood centers, schools, and higher education institutions in Dubai. The initiative will recognize educators who have significantly contributed to students’ academic success and received positive community feedback for enhancing the quality of education.
